Veterans Tax Credits  

On December 7, 2011, Congress passed, and the President has signed into law, the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011. The VOW to Hire Heroes Act provides tax credits for hiring veterans and disabled veterans who are out of work. The act provides tax credits of up 

• $2,400 for hiring veterans who have been looking for work four weeks to six months
• $5,600 for hiring veterans who have been looking for work six months or longer, and 
• $9,600 for hiring disabled veterans a result of service in a conflict zone
