• 2-1-1 or 954-537-0211 - Your 24-hour, free, confidential telephone Helpline for crisis/suicide counseling, empathetic listening and community information and referrals for health and human service resources in Broward County, Florida. They can provide information about: food; clothing; shelter; child, youth, family and elder services; substance abuse resources; mental health services; HIV/AIDS and much more. • 24/7 Crisis Line (954) 463-0911 - Henderson Mental Health Center (HMHC) is a community mental health center committed to quality mental health care for ALL people of Broward County. Click here to access their website.

• Ex Offenders - Established by the Legal Action Center, the National Helping Individuals with criminal records Re-enter through Employment Network is both a national clearinghouse for information and an advocate for policy change. The goal of the National H.I.R.E. Network is to increase the number and quality of job opportunities available to people with criminal records by changing public policies, employment practices and public opinion. • Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act- Provides for the protection of migrant and seasonal agricultural workers and for the registration of contractors of migrant and seasonal agricultural labor and for other purposes. Click here to read more.

• Training Programs for Indian & Native Americans- The Workforce Investment Act contains provisions aimed at supporting employment and training activities for Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals. Click here for more information.
• Unemployment Compensation - We realize how stressful it is to be out of work and without your usual source of income. Unemployment Compensation can help qualified workers get through this difficult time, but it is not a total solution. • Vocational Rehabilitation - If you have a physical or mental impairment that is a substantial impediment to employment, you may be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation serivces to help you prepare for, enter and engage in or retain ganinful employment. Click here for more information.
• Welfare Transition Program (WTP) - At WorkForce One, the road to self-sufficiency often begins with educational and vocational assessments and guidance. Our services include career assessment, job seeker employability skills training, job development and referral, community work experience to gain work skills, and job placement assistance. Support services such as childcare, transportation assistance and referrals to other needed community resources are provided at no cost. Help with tuition, books, supplies, tools and related fees are available to those participants who are pursuing educational or vocational training goals.
