Salary
Direct, plan, oversee and provide effective team leadership in system-wide quality assurance program development and continuous improvement activities.
(Other duties may be assigned)
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct, plan, implement and evaluate quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives.
Provide advice and counsel to the President/CEO and other management personnel regarding quality focused initiatives.
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and provide technical assistance to improve programmatic operations and service delivery.
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of State and Federal workforce development performance measures.
Oversee the grant writing process from the identification of applicable grants through the submission process including grant evaluations.
Oversee system-wide customer service improvement initiatives.
Conduct research and write technical papers.
Provide program support to other departments in WorkForce One.
Maintain and update agency’s WIA two-year plan and quality improvement plans.
Research new trends in employment and training and share information with staff in order to improve WorkForce One programs and operational procedures.
Assist WorkForce One Centers and specialized providers with implementation of quality improvements systems and activities including coordination of quality steering teams.
Conduct routine statistical, demographic research.
Serve as staff liaison to the assigned board committees and represent WorkForce One at various community meetings and events.
Research and write proposals for grant funding, and write program and technical reports.
Spearhead the incorporation of Florida Sterling Performance Management Principles throughout the WorkForce One System.
Research and train staff on the usage of career development tools and other assessments.
Participate in the agency’s hiring process by serving on screening and interview panels as needed.
Participate in agency’s quality improvement initiatives by continually focusing on strategic planning and improving customer service.
Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, clients, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence, emails, and faxes.
May be assigned other responsibilities on a temporary or ongoing basis as necessary for the delivery of quality service within the Department or WorkForce One as an organization.
Education and/or Experience
A Master’s degree in business administration, research, statistics or a related field is required. A minimum of three years research and evaluation experience and at least two years administrative experience in a social services or related environment is required.
