The Broward Workforce Development Board, Inc. and the WorkForce One Council is seeking proposals for the following RFP:

· The Operation and Management of the North One Stop and the delivery of core and intensive services for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Welfare Transition Program (WTP) and Wagner-Peyser Customers

Specifications are available in the WorkForce One Operations Department, 3800 Inverrary Blvd., Suite #400, Lauderhill, Florida 33319 and may be obtained from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday beginning on Monday, May 2, 2005. All proposals must be marked “Response to Bid B#04-04”. Proposers interested in being considered for funding must submit proposals no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2005.

Request for Proposals for Compensation Study
This request is seeking a qualified contractor to complete renovations of existing office space.

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purpose of meeting staffing needs, (recruitment, pay-rolling and job placement of workers into temporary jobs), occasioned by a natural or other disaster.

The Broward Workforce Development Board, Inc. and the WorkForce One Council of Elected Officials through their administrative entity, WorkForce One Employment Solutions is seeking proposals for the following services.

  1. On the Job Training (OJT) Contract Development for unemployed individuals and upgrade OJT Training, Employed Worker and Incumbent Worker development training contracts – in conjunction with all WorkForce One funding streams with an emphasis on the Welfare Transitional Client in order to increase the WTP client wage.
  2. Customized training for unemployed eligible WIA participants and employed worker training for WIA eligible participants.
  3. Assistance for WTP clients who are working in jobs paying less than $10.00 an hour by helping to train and upgrade them to jobs paying a better wage with their current employer or assisting in backfill with the employer’s concurrence.
  4. Partnering with educational institutions to provide WorkForce One participants with credentialed skills training, providing those individuals with wrap around case-management including tutoring and placing them into part-time jobs until completion of training after which participants shall be placed into full time jobs.
  5. Training offering a recognized credential which results in jobs paying a minimum of $10.00 an hour WTP clients 15.05 for WIA Adult and $17.74 for WIA Dislocated Workers.
WorkForce One Employment Solutions™ is seeking to fund Intermediary initiatives with business and trade associations allowing for existing and new business associations working with high skills and high demand occupations to form alliances with WorkForce One Employment Solutions™ (WF1) and the one-stop centers.
WorkForce One is seeking to gain a real time picture of customer service and identify key areas for improvement. The mystery shopper program is expected to evaluate how a WorkForce One provider responds to its customers. Would-be customers who have been previously trained regarding the areas to be evaluated will be expected to use the services available as any random customer would, and report to WorkForce One on their experiences.
WorkForce One is interested in redesigning its website. The RFP must include the costs of the redesign, hosting fees, third party software costs, and any yearly maintenance and support costs. Maintenance and support costs, if any will need to be on a year-to-year basis through June 30, 2010. WorkForce One may elect at that time to continue maintenance of the system including upgrades to be provided under this RFP or to replace the system at the sole discretion of WorkForce One
WorkForce One is seeking to fund an intermediary position with business and trade associations serving employer members of the automotive, aviation, bioscience, communications, healthcare, information technology, alternative energy, “green collar”, marine, and manufacturing industries. The purpose of the WorkForce One intermediary program is to increase penetration of WorkForce One services into targeted industry businesses with high-growth, high-demand occupations. This is accomplished through funding intermediary positions, either new or existing, within business and trade associations serving those targeted business members.
